Crewe vs Shrewsbury

Crewe took the victory over Tranmere on the road 4:3, but then lost to young Citizens 1:4 and still have a chance to progress further - however only in case of a win. They come from two consecutive defeats in League Two, being in a situation where they need to seek improvement in their atmosphere. During the midweek they were also excluded from FA Cup in a home defeat against Carlisle.
Shrewsbury won after penalties against young Citizens and even trashed Tranmere 6:0, but still aren't sure of progressing further. As for League One, they are three points above the relegation zone. They were quite a favorite last weekend but had only a 1:1 draw against Salford in FA Cup, result that led to sacking of their manager Askey due to poor league results at first place.
They both have important league matches this weekend, so rotated squad is logical and expected here, just like for every EFL Checkatrade game so far.
The hosts need a win, while Shrewsbury can progress in case of a draw disregarding the result after possible penalties. There's no doubt that the hosts will try to attack, while the guests do remain more than dangerous in attack as well. Both teams need a momentum change desperately and should be going for a win in this one, resulting in a fairly open clash.

Sevilla vs Espanyol

Sevilla once again failed to be more concrete away from home in their goalless game against Real Sociedad last weekend. It was quite an unimpressive match where both teams failed to show positive signs in the offense. The team now stands four points behind Barcelona and needs to revert the momentum when they welcomed second placed Espanyol that has a point more than them.
Espanyol managed to get yet another win in front of own fans last Monday when they won 1:0 over Bilbao. the game itself looked like quite a balanced one, actually with the players of Bilbao having more of the ball possession, but weren't able to be as dangerous as they should. The team keeps the second position for the moment, mostly thanks to their great home record (5-0-0) for the moment.
The home team misses injured central defender Kjaer (10/0), while doubtful are forward Andre Silva (10/7), offensive midfielder Ben Yedder (8/5) and central back Mercado (5/0). The guests are missing central defender Naldo (2/0) and midfielder Perez (10/1) due to injury. Central defender Hermoso (11/2) is doubtful due to the ribs problem.
Espanyol is known for far weaker performances away from home and shouldn't be able to keep up with the hosts here. They were failing against far weaker sides and if Sevilla shows anything of their offensive approach at home, the hosts should be able to seal the win easier than what the odds suggest.

Saint Etienne vs Reims

St Etienne comes from one of most interesting matches in a previous round, where they failed to take over complete control over the game but still celebrated a 4:3 victory over Angers. It came late in the 88th minute, but still a deserved one despite the fact that they were losing 2:3 in the last twenty minutes. They now stand fifth at the table with just a point less than Europa League placed Lyon.
Reims managed to exploit the poor momentum of Monaco, taking a narrow 1:0 home victory. They took the lead early, left the ball possession to the opponents who were simply clueless once again with it and did very little overall. The side now stands in the middle of the table having just four points less than fourth-placed Lyon and with seven more than relegation worried Amiens.
Hosts have defender Gabriel Silva (8/0) as doubtful for now. The visiting side can't count at suspended defensive midfielder Romao (12/0).
Saint-Etienne has scored at least 3 goals in their last 3 home matches against Reims.
St Etienne surely now wants to keep up the momentum and for me, it looks almost impossible for their defensive lineup not to show themselves very improved here. Reims looks solid this season, but again undefeated match could be too much for them. I don't see them being competitive enough upfront.

Lille vs Strasbourg

Lille actually gave a really good fight to PSG away from home, however, once the hosts upped the tempo in the second halftime the quality difference was obvious. Still, the team didn't get completely outplayed and managed to reduce in the added time for the final 2:1 result. The side now broke their winning streak of four matches, being second together with Montpellier.
Strasbourg, on the other side, was quite a favorite in their home game against Toulouse in a 1:1 game, but at least the side remained undefeated in last five rounds of Ligue 1. They were actually better than Toulouse and had control over the game, but failed to be more concrete with the chances created. The side now stands at seventh position with just four less than Europa League placed Lyon.
The home side has midfielder Bahlouli doubtful but anyway without performing so far. The guests miss injured midfielder Goncalves (4/1) and forward Saadi (1/0). Doubtful is forward Ajorque (4/1).
Lille have won their last 8 home matches (Ligue 1).
Lille is a favorite for this one and does stand closer, however, I expect Strasbourg to be pretty determined to attack as well. There's plenty of quality in their attack to score against Lille that can easily slip up for the first time in the season at home.

BTTS Bet365 1.95 8 Pending

Spartak Moscow vs Rangers

Spartak managed to hold out to a goalless game away to Rangers in quite an unimpressive game. The side now simply needs a three-pointer here in order to keep the chances, having just two points out of first three rounds. Troubles continued for Spartak in the domestic league, as they suffered 1:2 loss at home to Ural last weekend.
Rangers was favorite against Spartak and looked slightly better, however, the team wasn't concrete enough with the chances created to get the victory. They continued the decent momentum in Premiership, coming from a 0:2 victory away to St Mirren and are now five points behind leaders from Hearts.
The Russians continue to miss forwards Rocha (1/0), Ze Luis (10/5), midfielder Gigot (6/1), defensive midfielder Fernando (10/1), plus a couple of more long-term absentees. Guests have center back Barisic (5/0) injured, while they also have a couple of long-term absentees.
Rangers were just bit better in the first game against Spartak, however, visitors were defending pretty nicely. Now, when the team from Moscow needs to attack, I expect even more chances for the Scottish team via counter-attacks. It's something that Spartak defend really poorly all season long.

Plzen vs Real Madrid

Plzen couldn't do much more in their game away from home against Real Madrid, but even so, the team did show some positive phases as they only suffered 2:1 defeat. Of course, they were limited to a defensive role but were threatening at times as well as staying focused in the defense. The side now has one point earned and remains with some chances of reaching the third position.
Real Madrid now has two wins and a defeat, being in a must-win situation in order to keep the chances high and secure one of first two positions as soon as possible. After the coaching change, they have secured two consecutive wins, in the Copa del Rey away to Melilla, but also in LaLiga at home against Valladolid 2:0, however only thanks to goals in last seven minutes of the clash.
Forward Krmencik (13/7) is out with a knee injury, midfielders Kolar (2/0) and Kovarik (6/0) are already missing for a few weeks. The Spaniards miss left back Marcelo (7/2), right back Daniel Carvajal (5/1), central defender Varane (9/0) and forward Mariano (5/0) due to injuries.
Real Madrid needs to win this one and are favorites, however the team is far from their best. With couple of important players out, I definitely don't see them completely outplaying the opponent into this match, as the Czech side already proved to be very tough nut to crack - now it could be even more difficult for them.

Gladbach vs Dusseldorf

Gladbach didn't live up to the expectations to get their third win in a run, as the side got outplayed to Freiburg in a 3:1 defeat. Despite more of the ball possession, they didn't remind of a team they are and weren't as concrete as they should. Getting back to home matches, a victory is priority here, as the side needs to remain in control of the Champions League ticket as long as possible.
Dusseldorf was simply no match to Wolfsburg in front of own fans, as they were outplayed once again with a 0:3 result this time. There was obvious form and class difference, as the home team did close to nothing in attack. The side is now inside the relegation zone and will have hard time avoiding it, while they have scored just two goals on the road in four rounds and can't expect much from this one.
Defender Beyer (3/0) and offensive Plea (9/5) are doubtful for the moment. Visitors miss central defender Hoffmann (2/0) and a couple of more long-term absentees who didn't play so far. Midfielder Sobottka (7/0) and forward Lovren (1/0) are doubtful for now.
Gladbach has scored at least 2 goals in their last 9 home matches (Bundesliga).
Even when they didn't look that well, Gladbach was always a dominant force in front of own fans. Now, when the team has good entrance into the season and scores usually with ease at home, players of Dusseldorf will have a hard time staying competitive in this one, being obviously one of the weakest links in Bundesliga.

Breda vs Heracles

Breda managed to take a point in away clash against Den Haag. They had some decent phases and didn't look that poor, however still were a bit lucky to pull out a point against more determined side that didn't have enough luck. This was second consecutive draw for them, as the side continues to be inside relegation zone and surely wants to keep undefeated momentum here.
Heracles also comes from a point taken away from home, as they pulled out a slight surprise in a 1:1 draw against Zwolle. They were the ones who took the lead, but switched to too passive approach in the second and could feel satisfied in the end with that point taken. The team continues to have above decent season, having a 6-2-2 record and being at third position together with Feyenoord.
Hosts miss suspended midfielder Niholt (9/2). Forward Fernandes (5/0) is injured, doubtful are forwards Kastaneer (7/1) and Muhren (3/0). Visitors have defender Propper (5/0) sidelined together with a couple of long-term absentees.
Breda seems to be improving their form very slowly, while Heracles can't be considered as a complete favorite away from home. hosts should be quite attacking in this one, with the visitors not waiting behind the ball either. Over goals and both teams to score seems like the most logical pick in a match where 1x2 option could go either way.

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Stuttgart looks really disappointing, as they come from third straight defeat with very little concrete things done in the attack. They didn't score in last two, coming from identical 4:0 defeats at home against Dortmund and away to Hoffenheim. They stood playing with a man less in eight minute in Hoffenheim, not being able to do anything in attack and being limited to a very defensive role.
Eintracht didn't manage to continue their winning streak after three wins, taking just a point in a 1:1 away to Nurnberg last Sunday. They were a side with a bit more of the possession but failed to show some of their stability against tight in defense hosts. The game got only interesting in the last phase, with the guests pulling out a point in added time. They are now just two points behind Champions League positions.
Hosts miss left back Insua (6/1) due to suspension, while injured are offensive Didavi (4/0) and Donis (5/1) and defender Sosa (4/0), plus a couple of more doubtful. The guests are missing defender Salcedo (2/0), plus a couple of more long-term absentees. Doubtful is defensive midfielder Torro (5/0) due to a groin injury.
Stuttgart have conceded at least 3 goals in their last 3 matches (Bundesliga).
Stuttgart has some quality but will need to work a lot to stay away from the relegation zone. Eintracht is in a different momentum, but can't be taken as complete favorites here. However, visitors are creating their chances far easier and that's what counts a lot in nowadays football.

Rangers vs Kilmarnock FC

Rangers got excluded from the Betfred Cup in the semi-finals against Aberdeen. They now need a bit of momentum change after two games with no win (Europa League home clash against Spartak that ended with no goals), as the side stands eight points behind leaders from Hearts and with three points less than second placed Kilmarnock being currently only fifth in Premiership.
Kilmarnock is doing pretty fine for now in the season, but their winning run was interrputed last Saturday when the side took just a point in a home clash against Hamilton 1:1. They had four previous victories before Hamilton stopped them, in a game where the hosts simply weren't enough creative and concrete with the ball to their feet.
Left-back Wallace (1/0) is injured, as well as central back Barisic (5/0), midfielder Dorrans (1/0) and offensive Murphy (2/0). Midfielder Ejaria is doubtful. The visitors should have no fresh injury worries.
Kilmarnock had last six matches in Premiership with both teams scoring.
Both teams will want to get back to winning track here, as Rangers needs to win over a direct opponent for European positions. An open game is what I expect with the hosts being favorites, but also nowhere close to being trusted with the defensive lineup they have - especially when they need to attack. Value is with the goals since I expect the guests to hurt them on counters too.

BTTS Bet365 1.80

Carpi vs Palermo

Carpi didn't look that poor in the most recent game, but the side still suffered 1:0 defeat away to Ascoli now ten days ago. The side is far from impressive for now having just one victory out of eight rounds. They don't remind at all of the previous season's side which almost reached the play-off zone since they are in the last position together with Livorno and Foggia.
Palermo looked decentish against Venezia, but failed to get more concrete in the first, staying behind in the second part in the 60th minute. They stood playing with a man less couple of minutes later, but even so, remained a better side and deserved the equalizer via Struna in last minutes. They were far better and surely deserved more, but paid the price of a weaker entrance at first. They are now three points behind leading Pescara.
Home side miss defender Ligi (1/0), left back Frascatore (3/0), midfielder Saric (3/0) and offensive Piu (2/0). Visitors have defender Bellusci (8/1) and forward Trajkovski (8/3) both suspended for this one.
Palermo needs to get a victory here in order to stay close to the top of the table, while Carpi surely wants something more, but it's a huge question mark what are they capable of. With just a bit more effective performance than on Saturday, Palermo should get the points here even though they miss two important players.
Great odds

Clermont vs Brest

Clermont continued with negative results and ineffective performances last round when the side had only a goalless draw at home against Red Star. They were maybe just slightly better, but once again stood without a goal scored just like they did in three out of last four matches. The side remains in the middle of the table, for now, having only four points more than play-out placed Auxerre.
Brest is in a really good form now, coming from seventh consecutive in Ligue 2. In the most recent match, they managed to fight out a 3:2 victory at home over Lorient, a side that is also fighting for promotion. Despite being twice back int he scoreline, the side has shown great fighting spirit. They are now third at the rankings, having three less than leaders from Metz.
Neither of the teams should have fresh and important injury worries ahead of this one.
Brest has won seven in a row in Ligue 2.
Brest seems just fine at the moment and has entered really great form - especially when speaking about offense. Clermont isn't always that easy to get broken, but Brest certainly does have quality for it. Visitors should use the momentum, while the quality and form are surely on their side.

Ajax vs Feyenoord

Ajax won eventually in injury time with 1-0 due to a deflected shot by Mazraoui. I think overall they were more dangerous, but Benfica played their best match in the CL this season and perhaps deserved more.
Had also to do with Ajax as they did not played at their best. Especially in the build up a lot of simple mistakes. Against Bayern Munich they played much better.
Now the next big match, indeed, it is ''De Klassieker'', the biggest match in the Netherlands.
Of course, PSV - AJax is much bigger quality wise, but these two go way back. There is tremendous rivalry between these teams and there have been a lot of battles between both fan bases with people ending dead. Yes they really hate each other.
The last time Feyenoord won in Amsterdam was in 2005-2006 by a goal of Kalou. I think they will be in trouble once more since Ajax has a better player on every position. Robin Van Persie is playing well, but not much behind him. Jorgensen is their best striker still, but he was out for a long time and far from 100%. Berghuis is playing really well though for a while now. Vilhena is a pittbull on midfield but Clasie is not like frenkie De jong that plays all balls forwards. No important missings for Feyenoord for now.
They come from a 3-0 win against PEC, but Zwolle played even better in the second half for most part.
Seems like all Ajax players came out healthy of the Benfica game.
Opening odds were a big mistake but i made a mistake of waiting too long as well. I am not 100% sure about the -1.5 hcp so will go for this handi instead.
Don't be fooled by the standings as the difference between these two teams is enormous. Ajax and PSV are far ahead of any other team in this competition. If feyenoord will not get a new stadium and hence more money, the distance will be even bigger in the future. Anything but an Ajax win would be a big suprise. If Ajax will storm early, things could get very ugly for the guests.

Ajax -1 Pinnacle 1.67

Dortmund vs Atletico Madrid

Dortmund looked really impressive in a 4:0 victory on the road to Stuttgart last weekend. They now sit at the top of Bundesliga with three points more than closest followers and four victories in a row. They did well to win over Club Brugge and Monaco without conceding a goal and this clash could resolve the question which team will get the first position after six rounds, with both of them being hot favorites for the next phase.
Atletico also got victories in first two rounds, winning on the road to Monaco and at home against Brugge. Their Laliga campaign saw a team taking a point on the road to Villarreal last Saturday evening in a 1:1 game. The side is now only at the fifth position not being able to use the poor form of other rivals with a just 4-4-1 record for now, but also being just two points behind leaders from Barcelona.
Central back Akanji (7/1) is injured, same as left-back Schmelzer (5/0). Visitors could miss central back Savic (3/0) who missed in previous two months, while forward Costa (7/0) remains doubtful with a thigh injury.
Dortmund is coming into this clash being full of confidence and it's something that they could easily turn to their favor. Atletico doesn't seem to be that effective in attack, especially not away from home. The Germans could easily exploit their aggressivity in this one.

Ajax vs Benfica

Benfica are the leaders in the Primeira Liga but they are not playing very spectacular. I saw their matches in the CL and i was not impressed whatsoever. However, they are very solid and play very organized which is their biggest strenghth, so they are tough to beat. Most of the players are playing together since years and Rui Vitória opts for a 4-3-3 this season instead of the familiar 4-4-2 system. With some talents like Alex Grimaldo ( from the Barça school ) they have a good mixture. For this match though Grimaldo is questionable.
Jonas, who scored 34 goals last season, did not play a lot as he was injured for a while, so he lacks match rhytmn. Dias, who is important for their defence, is suspended after his red card against AEK. Ebuehi, Jardel and Krovinovic are injured as well.
On the other side Ajax coming from another easy game in the Eredivisie as they trashed Heerenveen with 0-4. Star player Ziyech returned from an injurie and was outstanding as a playmaker. I said it already a few times, this Ajax team has the strongest squad since 1995.
I get a little sick of reading articles every day about De Ligt and Frenkie De Jong, but sometimes the hype is real ( as i stated last year already ). Spanish papers are head lining these two like every other day. Yes they are really that good. De Jong is always playing forwards and can basically do everything with a ball while De Ligt ( 18 ) is already playing like a 26 years old world class defender. He owned world class strikers such as Lewandowski and Lukaku. He started shakey against Germany but recovered like a veteran. Indeed, they will make a transfer to a big club for A LOT of money as Barça and City are chasing for them. It is a Miracle that Overmars finally started to spend some money ( he brought Dusan Tadic for a lot of money ) so he promised that De Ligt and De Jong will not leave the club this winter. This is also the reason that Ziyech ( he could go to Roma ) decided to stay in Amsterdam.
Good news according to the latest news is that left back Tagliafico and right back Mazraoui are doing well and it seems that they will be ready to play.
Ajax drew 1-1 in Munich but they totally outplayed Bayern Munich as they were creating chance after chance while benfica lost to the same team at home with 0-2. Johan Cruijff Arena is sold out and especially in the CL they showed really great football at home.

Ajax -0.25 Pinnacle 1.75

Charleroi vs Zulte Waregem

Charleroi had some decent period during September, which was interrupted with a 2:1 defeat in the most recent game played early in October when they visited Cercle Brugge KSV. It was actually a quite undeserved victory for the hosts, who weren't better back then, but simply converted their chances against Charleroi that wasn't able to make that extra push since the start of the second half. They suffered first defeat in four rounds, being now in the middle of the table and being in a must-win situation to keep the touch with first six playoff placed sides.
Zulte Waregem, on the other side, is having a terrible season, for now, having only one victory and two draws - all three earned at the very start of the Jupiler League season. After that, they count seven straight defeats with only difficult victory over Heist in the Cup competition. They are usually no match to their opponents away from home, betting at the moment with only five points earned near the bottom of the table. It's not that much about scoring, but their defensive lineup seems to be acting like below any Jupiler level criteria.
Central defender Gabriele Angella (1/0) is injured, while defensive midfielder Marco Ilaimaharitra (8/0) remains suspended. Participation of forward Henrik Bjordal (2/0) and left backs Kingsley Madu and Bryan Verboom (both without performance) is questionable for now.
Zulte Waregem is going nowhere with their form and I can't see them improving all of the sudden against very decent Charleroi. Hosts are bringing much more defensive stability into this clash and everything except their victory would be a surprise for me in this one. Zulte has so many defensive weaknesses that can only be fixed during the next transfer window.

1 Pinnacle 1.92 8 Pending

Cardiff vs Fulham

Cardiff is having really poor entrance into the season, as they not only show lack of quality for Premiership games but also lack of experience to match the sides. As for now, they have two draws and six defeats, which puts them on the rock bottom position - with only four goals scored. They've been really struggling so far and disregarding the results, the team will need further strengthening during the winter transfer window.
Fulham didn't do much better on the paper, since the team has just one victory, two draws, and five defeats, being only three points above the last placed Cardiff. However, the team did show more on the field and were far more competitive so far scoring nine goals till now, but conceding more as well. They now come from back to back defeats against Everton and Arsenal and need improvement as well.
Midfielder Joe Ralls (8/0) is suspended. Right back Lee Peltier (2/0) and offensive Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (3/0) are injured for the hosts. Fulham will miss left-back Joe Bryan (4/0) and right back Timothy Fosu-Mensah (5/0). Central back Calum Chambers should be back.
Cardiff have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 home matches in Premier League.
This international break came in the right momentum for both sides, but I see Fulham improving easier. Cardiff entered a really difficult period with six consecutive defeats in official matches and are still without a victory in the new season. Fulham was already better last season, keeping some individual quality gap in the new season too. Value seems to be with the visiting team that comes into goalscoring chances far easier.

2 (+0.25 AH) Pinnacle 1.80

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Dusseldorf

Eintracht opened up the season with a victory against Freiburg, but were in quite a poor form since then - finally managing to improve in last month and now do look again as a contenders for the European position since they are run of two consecutive victories in Bundesliga and are showing great face in the Europa League with wins over Marseille on the road and at home against Lazio 4:1.
They also won at home against Hannover 4:1 and confirmed their good form against Hoffenheim in a 1:2 victory on the road even though they stood playing with a man less from the 64th minute when forward Rebic was red carded. They are now at 7th position with ten points and do look like a real favorite for this one. Goalkeeper Trapp could be back for this one. Central back Salcedo (2/0) is out injured as well as a couple of more who didn't play so far. Forward Rebic (4/3) is suspended now.
Dusseldorf has entered a poor period having lost three straight games in Bundesliga. Moreover, together with a goalless draw away to Stuttgart, they are now without a victory in the last four rounds. They are also with just one goal scored in these four, coming from a 0:2 home defeat against Schalke.
The first halftime was quite a passive one, however, once the players of Schalke upped the tempo in second, it was difficult for the hosts to keep up. The team is now inside the last three positions at the table with all having five points each. Central back Hoffmann (2/0) is injured, as well as a couple of more who didn't play so far anyway.
Eintracht Frankfurt now seems in-form and with the help of own fans, they should be able to get a three-pointer here. Individual quality is sure with their side and experience as well. The hosts should convert the momentum in a quite easy three-pointer here.

1 Pinnacle 1.72

Armenia vs Macedonia

Armenia started the UEFA Nations League with a 2:1 narrow victory at home over Liechtenstein and it looked fine for the moment, but their visit to FYR Macedonia brought them back to reality when they suffered 2:0 defeat in September.
That defeat was pretty much deserved, but the real disappointment came last Saturday afternoon when they welcomed Gibraltar and stood defeated with a 1:0 result. The only goal was scored back in the 50th minute via penalty kick taken by Chipolina.
It was the first victory away from home in the history of Gibraltar, while the Armenians have every reason to feel frustrated as they looked like a far more superior side on the field, but failed to make their chances count at all. It's something to this about for them, since the team can't expect much with such effectivity.
In comparison to previous few call-ups, the home team won't be able to count at defenders Armen Manucharyan (Pyunik), Hayk Ishkhanyan (Gandzasar), Andre Caslisir (Goteborg), midfielders Aras Ozbiliz (Willem II) and Erik Vardanyan (Pyunik).
FYR Macedonia started their UEFA Nations League campaign with a 2:0 victory on the road to Gibraltar, but then have also recorded another deserved three-pointer when they defeated Armenia with the same result earlier previous month.
The side looked quite effective and strong on Saturday evening as well, winning 4:1 at home over Liechtenstein opening the game with three goals inside the first halftime thanks to Trajkovski (twice) and one from Pandev.
Alioski sealed up their victory in the 67th minute already, even though the hosts stood even better than what they have shown in the first halftime. They are now leading the table with nine points out of three matches and in case the team gets a positive result here, they could even seal the qualification for the next round two rounds before the end.
Comparing to previous few call-ups, the visitors won't be able to count at defender Darko Velkovski (Rijeka) and forward Ivan Trichkovski (AEK Larnaca).
There isn't much left for Armenia to play and with morale being really down at the moment, also with the fact that the players are more or less thinking about returning to their clubs, it will be extremely difficult to see them improving straight away. Their visitors, however, are surely in far better momentum and with some decent quality and effectiveness in attack. Visitors to use their momentum is my call here.

2 (0 AH) Pinnacle 1.79

Norway vs Slovenia

Norway looked really well in the first two rounds of the UEFA Nations League, but the side only managed to be half successful. They did get a victory at home over Cuprys in quite an easy manner and professional way, however, suffered a narrow 1:0 loss away to Bulgaria a few days later.
Must be said, it's a game where the Norwegians looked better than the opponent and deserved surely more. They should have taken the lead in the first halftime, but instead of it, the Bulgarians were slightly more concrete in the second part (but still not better), taking the lead in the 59th minute via Vasilev.
The visitors were unable to respond properly, surely not in the last moments as they played with a man less since the 88th minute when midfielder Nordtveit got excluded. If Norwegians want to stay competitive for the first position in the group, this match is a must win for them.
In comparison to previous few call-ups, Norwegians will be playing without defenders Tore Reginiussen, Birger Meling (both Rosenborg), Kristoffer Ajer (Celtic) and midfielder Martin Odegaard (Vitesse). Defensive midfielder/defender Havard Nordtveit is suspended for this clash.
Slovenia disappointed in the first two rounds of the UEFA Nations League and the team already can't count on being competitive for the first position and promotion further. Instead of it, they will need to improve and be more competitive, to avoid relegating to the D group since Cuprys and Norway both have three points earned, while Bulgarians stand out as first with six points.
They firstly lost the competition opening game at home against Bulgaria, even though they didn't deserve to get defeated being a better side for most of the clash. Not only that, but they also lost the second-round game away to Cyprus even though they were set as a slight favorite.
Despite taking the lead via Beric in the 54th minute, hosts were able to revert the scoreline in last twenty minutes of the clash in a match where the Slovenians showed so little.
Goalkeeper Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) isn't in the team for this one, as well as defender Aljaz Struna (Palermo), midfielders Kevin Kampl (RB Leipzig), Benjamin Verbic (Dynamo Kiev), Jasmin Kurtic (SPAL) and striker Tim Matavz (Vitesse).
The odds for the home victory are going a bit down in the most of the bookies since Slovenians miss some of their most quality players. In any way, I see Norwegians being in far better momentum and with the better atmosphere inside the locker room. This would be a home victory call even if the visitors play with their strongest starting XI.

Turkey vs Bosnia-Herzegovina

Turkey didn't seem like an in-form side or a side with a good atmosphere when the UEFA Nation's League started this September, however, the team found a way to respond in the best possible manner and somehow get a much-needed victory away from home against Sweden with a 3:2 result in the second round.
Things didn't look that bright for them at the start either since the Swedish team had the double lead after 49th-minute thanks to goals from Thelin and Claesson. Everything changed with a goal from Calhanoglu in the 51st minute, since the Turks were better until the end.
Maybe a bit lucky, but they came out to a victory thanks to two late goals from Akbaba - late and maybe lucky - but not undeservedly. It was important three-pointer after their first-round loss against Russia and they are again in contention for the first place there.
Comparing to other few call-ups, goalkeeper Volkan Babacan (Istanbul Basaksehir), defenders Omer Toprak (Dortmund), midfielders Emre Akbabaa (Galatasaray), Serdar Gurler (Huesca) and forward Umut Bulut (Kayserispor) are missing for this one.
Some improvement was seen in Bosnia & Herzegovina since Prosinecki took the charge of the team. They started the UEFA Nations League in a really good manner with a victory on the road against Northern Ireland 1:2. They acted really smart back then early in September, but also had to be said were threatening only via counter-attacks and have been lucky at some points of the match.
Just a couple of days later, they welcomed Austria and took narrow 1:0 victory which now puts them not only at the top of the table but also making them real favorites to win the group. Dzeko scored the only goal in the 78th minute in quite a defensive match that didn't bring many chances for either of the sides.
Visitors will miss defenders Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal), Ermin Bicakcic (Hoffenheim) and forward Smail Prevljak (Red Bull Salzburg) in comparison to previous few call-ups.
Bosnia & Herzegovina look totally fine now under coach Prosinecki and they should be eager to continue such momentum. Turks have also reverted the momentum in their atmosphere with a previous victory away to Sweden. Now being a friendly game, I definitely see the visiting team being very concrete in offense and with a lot of threatening situation. Both teams to score seems like a perfect choice for this clash, at least in my eyes.

Poli Timisoara vs Chindia Targoviste

Today, in Romanian second division named Liga 2, Chindia Targoviste(5th place) will play against Poli Timisoara(19th place).
Chindia Targoviste is a team that was founded only 8 years ago. Despite being a team with no history, they are already in the second division managing in the last 3 season some very good results like:
-2015 (Liga 2) 3rd place but the format wasn't the one from today so they didn't get any promotion
-2016 (Liga 2) 5th place
-2017 (Liga 2) 3rd place, they played a play-off for promotion with a team from Liga 1 and they lost at penalties
So now, they are trying again to promote and so far they are doing an alright job. They are on the 5th place with 20points , 4 points behind the leaders Clinceni. Their record is also an alright one 6W-2D-2L ( 18-11) . Away from home they managed to have till now a record of 3W-1D-1L (6-4) . I don't know too many things about them but I've seen some matches and they are trying to play at a fast pace with passes from one or two passes. The team is without any injury and is meaning that their main player Cherchez ( an attacking midfielder with 8 games and 7 goals) will be on the field .
I like the fact that they were so close last year to get the promotion because I want to believe that they are super motivated this year to promote although there are like 5 other teams that have the same objective!
On the other side, Poli Timisoara is a team with big financial problems .They stayed in Liga 1 for a couple of seasons but now they are in Liga 2 on 19th place and since August they are in insolvency which means that the club can't afford to make any more debts and more important it means that the players are not paid up to date. The money problem is an important factor and I guess it is seen their results. Their record is 1W-2D-7L (10-22) and at home their record is 0W-2D-2L (4-8) . The thing that surprised me is that they still have Cosmin Birnoi ( a 21 midfielder that was pretty good last year in Liga 1 ). They are surely candidates to battle for relegation if they will manage to finish the season .
The weather at Timisoara (23 C° sunny) is also an important thing because, as I said, Chindia is playing a fast football. So the forecast will be nothing but great for Chindia!
The only thing that I don't like about Chindia right now is the fact that they didn't managed to win pretty clearly away from home at Braila (20th place, Chindia won only with 1-0) , Bacau (18th place, Chindia won with 2-0), Balotesti (17th place, Chindia won with 2-0), Daco Getica (11th place, Chindia draw only 2-2) . Sure, 3 cleansheets away from home are not easy to obtain but I feel like they should have done a little bit more against this teams .
All things being said the key aspects are:
-Chindia has in the last 3 years very good results and this year they are again in a high position
-Chindia will fight for promotion
-Chindia's style of play is a fast one that can cause a lot of damage
-Chindia has some confidence away from home since their record is 3-1-1
-Poli Timisoara has financial problems
-Poli Timisoara is 19th in the league
Because I'm not pleased with Chindia's matches that were played away from home (even though they have 3 cleansheets), I'm gonna lower the stake but I will still go for a confident and solid 2!
PS: I don't have access to bet365 or Pinnacle in Romania so I don't know the odd at them . I'm gonna pick the odd from Romania.

Scunthorpe vs Lincoln

Scunthorpe couldn't do much more last Saturday in their visit to MK Dons and the team actually played well knowing how huge underdogs they were before the game has started. As said, they looked fine, however, the hosts didn't need many chances to show themselves really concrete in the attack.
They did manage to temporarily level up the result after a strong start from the hosts in seventeenth minute thanks to a goal from Novak, but couldn't cope for long with their attacks. In the end, 3:2 defeat was a deserved one as they lowered down the difference in the second minute of injury time via a goal from Humphrys. The side now has four points less than play-off placed Doncaster.
Lincoln also earned a victory last Saturday afternoon winning over Crewe with a narrow 1:0 result. The only goal came in the 58th minute via Pett and was the thing that made the difference overall in that clash even though the hosts were set as huge favorites before the game.
First goalkeeper Rory Watson (5/0) won't be involved into this one coming off from injury, similar to defender James Horsfield (6/0) and forward Ike Ugbo (5/1).
It was good to see them getting back on the track after a narrow defeat away to Tranmere in previous League Two game. The side is still leading the table with a 9-1-2 record for now and four points more than the closest followers from Exeter and Newport. They had a defeat in the first round of this competition at home against Mansfield.
With a great chance to promote this season, it's logical that they can't be putting all their efforts in Checkatrade Trophy, neither they should. Defender Sam Habergham (no performance so far) remains long-term absentee. They'll rotate the squad too.
It's difficult for me to see Lincoln City being very interesting to revert the situation in the group and really aims for a three-pointer here. Neither Scunthorpe is probably fired up for this one, however, I still see them as a bit more quality and the more in-depth squad also has more experience. Some motivation could easily work in their favor as well.

Sochaux vs Metz

Tough week for me and an illness who kept me out from Ligue2 previews for this round. A round with lot of surprising results.
Last game of the round bring face to face Sochaux and Metz two team with different start of the season.
Sochaux is on a bad run having 3 defeats and a draw in last 5 games. Single win came versus newly promoted Beziers but after a poor gae tough. At Nancy, Sochaux made a defensive game versus a team who have lost all games played at home. They were too shy upfront and didn't take advantage of plenty of weakness shown by Nancy. They are a team who still searching, plenty of new players, a new style due to Spanish new coach and others Spaniards. But i think in 3-4 rounds they will make their style to work and will climb in the table ( currently 15th spot with 10 points after all games from this round was played). Owusu still not recovered for this game.
METZ HAD A PERFECT START OF THE SEASON WITH 7 WINS IN FIRST 7 ROUNDS BUT SOMEHOW THEY REDUCES THE ENGINES AND LOST LAST 2 GAMES. But in both they were better for long period of games, versus Paris FC played 1 half with one man extra but didn's score enough goals to comeback from a 0-2 deficit while at home versus LeHavre they heavily dominated but had no luck to score. They conceded at the single shot on goal LeHavre had but is true also they didn't had too many shots on goal despite that domination. No doubt, dsepite these defeats Metz remains the best team in Ligue2. For this game Sunzu is suspended but important striker Opa Nguette was recovered from an injury.
Don't think Metz will lost third game in a row ( there is a word "Non c'e due senza tre"). I think Metz will be too strong for Sochaux and will colect 3 points regaining first spot in table. 2-0 for Metz. gl
